In May 2022, I participated in a week-long service trip in Honduras to design a clean water system for an underdeveloped community of 300 people. This service trip was an important and educational opportunity to act on becoming a societal engineer and giving back to the communities around us. I plan on continuing to take part in similar service trips throughout and past my time at Boston University. I am already taking more action by becoming the vice president of fundraising for our local school chapter of Engineering Brigades.
